Polly Hughes

Polly Hughes currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at what3words, a position held since October 2022. Previously, Polly held the role of Portfolio Finance Director, providing financial insights to multiple growth companies from September 2016 to December 2022. As Group Finance Director at L-3 from December 2015 to August 2016, Polly led the integration of CTC Aviation and managed financial operations for a $100 million turnover business. Prior experience includes serving as Group Financial Controller at CTC Aviation, where responsibilities encompassed financial reporting, compliance, and team restructuring. Polly's earlier roles include New Business Manager and Transition Manager at RSM Tenon, along with a chartered trainee position at RMT Accountants & Business Advisors. Polly holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Analysis from Newcastle University and completed an ICAEW training contract from 2006 to 2009.
