Bolor Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Their most recent position is as Vice President of Risk Management & Internal Audit at Whatcom Educational Credit Union-WECU. They have held various other roles within the organization, including Vice President Internal Audit and Director of Internal Audit. Prior to joining WECU, Bolor worked as an Internal Auditor and Financial Analyst at the same company. Outside of WECU, Bolor served as Co-Founder and Director of Blue Sky Education Project and as Director of Sound Essence Project.

Bolor Smith has a diverse education history. Bolor obtained their JD degree in Legal from the National University of Mongolia, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Later, they pursued their MBA degree in Finance/Accounting from Western Washington University, attending from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Bolor Smith also holds multiple certifications. In July 2013, they obtained the CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) certifications from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Furthermore, they earned the CUERME (Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert) certification from CUNA (Credit Union National Association) in May 2013. Earlier, in March 2007, they obtained the CUCE (Credit Union Compliance Expert) certification, also from CUNA.
