Ian Pleace

Ian Pleace is a seasoned financial professional currently serving as the Director of Finance at West Dean College under The Edward James Foundation since August 2025. Ian holds several board positions including roles on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board at Cognivate, as well as a Board of Directors member at i2 media research limited. Additionally, Ian is Trustee and Chair of the Finance & Operations Committee at Whitechapel Gallery, and serves as Vice Chair and Chair of the Finance Committee at the National Tramway Museum. Previously, Ian held interim finance roles at the University of Roehampton and has significant consultancy experience at Goldsmiths, University of London, along with previous positions at Lewisham Council and Deloitte. Ian's educational background includes a Chartered Accountant FCA qualification from ICAEW, an MSc in Economic Development from SOAS University of London, and various degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
