Stephen McKinnell

Stephen McKinnell, CPA, currently serves as an Audit Partner at Whitley Penn since August 2017, after progressing through various roles including Audit Senior Manager and Audit Manager at the same firm. Prior experience includes Audit Manager at PMB Helin Donovan from July 2011 to August 2017, and earlier positions as Audit Senior and Audit Staff. Stephen began the accounting career at The University of Alabama Accounting Office as a Staff Accountant from May 2009 to June 2011, following an internship at Crow, Shields & Bailey, PC. Educationally, Stephen McKinnell holds an MBA in Strategy and Accounting, along with an MBA in Accounting and Finance, both earned from The University of Alabama between 2005 and 2011.
