Nicky Combs currently serves as the Director of Individual Giving at the Whitney Museum of American Art, beginning in February 2023. Prior to this role, Nicky held various positions at The Museum of Modern Art, including Associate Director and Assistant Director of Development from December 2017 to January 2023. Nicky's earlier experience includes serving as the Head of Individual Giving and Major Gifts at the Rubin Museum of Art from February 2011 to December 2017, Corporate Membership Manager at Asia Society from January 2008 to February 2011, and Director of Programs at Global Film Initiative from October 2002 to December 2006. Nicky began a career in art management as the Assistant Director at Red Gate Gallery from August 1999 to August 2001. Academically, Nicky holds a Bachelor's degree in Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound and a Master's degree in Asian Studies from the University of Oregon.
