Whitney Museum of American Art
Tara Hart is a seasoned archivist, currently serving as the Managing Archivist at the Whitney Museum of American Art since May 2015. Previously, Tara held positions as a Project Archivist at the Guggenheim Museum and as a Digital Archivist at the New Museum of Contemporary Art. Early career experience includes roles as an Assistant Curator at Fales Library and Special Collections, an Archivist at Public Art Fund, and a Digital Archives Consultant at Asian American Arts Centre, along with a Graduate Assistant position at Pratt Institute. Tara holds a Master of Library & Information Science from Pratt Institute, with advanced certificates in Archives and Museum Libraries, a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts with a minor in Art History from UC San Diego, and an Associate of Arts from San Diego Mesa College.
