Russell Merrick is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the fields of FPGA, embedded systems, and firmware development. As the Founder and CEO of nandland.com since 2014, Russell has established a leading resource for beginners in FPGA, Verilog, and VHDL, creating the widely acclaimed Go Board and amassing a substantial YouTube following. Currently, Russell serves as a Senior Embedded Engineer at WHOOP, where code contributions affect hundreds of thousands of consumer products. Prior roles include Senior Firmware Engineer at Accion Systems Inc., focusing on satellite propulsion control software, FPGA Design Engineer at L-3 Communications, specialized in low-power image processing, and FPGA Designer at BAE Systems.
