Steve Walsh is an experienced news reporter currently with WHRO Public Media since March 2023. Previously, Steve served as a reporter at KPBS from June 2015 to September 2022, focusing on military and veteran issues, and collaborating with the American Homefront Project. Other roles include producer and host at Lakeshore Public Radio from November 2010 to June 2015, and host producer for Vocalo.org and Chicago Public Radio from July 2007 to July 2010. Steve's early career includes investigative reporting at Post-Tribune and freelance contributions to NUVO. Steve's journalism has been recognized with awards, including first place from the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science from Indiana State University and an Associate of Arts from Purdue University North Central.
