Stefan Penthor

Stefan Penthor is an experienced professional in strategic asset management and project consultancy within the energy sector. Currently employed at Wien Energie GmbH since March 2020, Stefan oversees strategic asset management. Prior to this, Stefan worked as a Senior Project Consultant at Energy&Chemical Engineering GmbH, where responsibilities included leading R&D projects in collaboration with TU Wien, focusing on digital twins, and optimizing industrial plants. From March 2010 to June 2019, Stefan held significant roles at Technische Universität Wien, including Head of Zero Emission Technologies and overall project coordinator for the EU-FP7 project SUCCESS, managing a project group and representing the consortium to the European Commission. Stefan began the career as a Junior Researcher, implementing energy technology projects. Educationally, Stefan earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Technische Universität Wien, following a Diplom in Maschinenbau from the same institution.
