Charlene Chen

Charlene Chen has extensive legal experience, most recently serving as Senior Principal Corporate Counsel at Wilbur-Ellis from April 2022 to March 2024, following roles as Corporate Counsel and Assistant Corporate Counsel within the same company. Prior to Wilbur-Ellis, Charlene was a Freelance Attorney at Ontra from March 2018 to April 2022, where negotiations of thousands of contracts, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements, were a key focus, collaborating with clients such as Nuveen Real Estate and Piper Sandler & Co. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at Reed Smith LLP from September 2013 to November 2016, where Charlene successfully settled large-scale mediations and drafted pretrial motions. Alongside work at Reed Smith, Charlene gained experience as a Certified Law Student at the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic, achieving a remand in the Ninth Circuit in the case of Biocini v. Holder. Legal education includes a J.D. from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a BA in Painting & Italian from Yale University.
