Alyssa Richards is an experienced communications professional with a demonstrated history of working in wildlife conservation and museum development. Currently serving as Program Communications Manager at WildAid since September 2019, Alyssa leads high-level communications campaigns focused on reducing demand for wildlife products and enhancing local conservation efforts. Previous roles include Wildlife Programs Officer and Wildlife Campaigns Grant Associate at WildAid, where grant writing, social media management, and communication strategies were key responsibilities. Alyssa also held positions such as Development Analyst at the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art, Administrative Assistant III at UC Davis Health, Event Services Coordinator at Oakland Museum of California, and Veterinary Technician at various organizations. Alyssa holds a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies and an MBA, as well as a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
