Roddy Macías holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Universidad Pinar del Río and a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Roddy Macías currently serves as Jefe de Proyectos en la Costa Continental del Ecuador at WildAid since January 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Director de Gestión y Coordinación Marina y Costera at Ministerio del Ambiente del Ecuador, providing technical assistance and developing management plans for protected marine areas, and various consulting positions focused on environmental management, field research, and community engagement in sustainable practices. Notable past roles also include coordination of environmental planning and oversight as Coordinador de la Zona 4 for the Ministry of the Environment and leadership in provincial environmental management in Manabí.
