Laura McNamara

Laura McNamara is a seasoned professional in the field of UX research and information science, currently serving as Senior Manager of UX Research at Wiley since August 2022. Prior to this role, McNamara held positions as Senior Experience Researcher at Aledade, Inc. and Senior UX Researcher at Elsevier. From 2018 to 2020, McNamara was UX Lead for Data Discovery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, following a tenure as Electronic Resources Librarian at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals from 2011 to 2018. McNamara's earlier career includes roles in reference and systems librarianship across various institutions, starting at the University of Pennsylvania as an Information & Dissemination Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from PennWest Clarion.
