Matthew Grills

Matthew Grills has extensive experience in government and community relations, currently serving as the Director of Government & Community Relations at Wilfrid Laurier University since June 2021, following roles as Associate Director and Government Relations Officer. Prior to this, Matthew held various senior positions at BMO Financial Group from January 2016 to October 2020, including Senior Manager of AML Regulatory Initiatives & Developments and Senior Manager of the AML Financial Intelligence Unit. Matthew also worked in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada from November 2012 to November 2015, serving as Advance to the Prime Minister and in several logistical roles. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science and Government from Carleton University, earned in 2013.
