Ian Wright

Ian Wright currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for the UK and Europe at William Blair, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this, Ian Wright held various compliance roles, including Head of Compliance at Deutsche Numis from August 2014 to May 2025, and Vice President in IBD Syndicate Compliance at Barclays Investment Bank from September 2013 to July 2014. Ian's career includes significant experience as a Compliance Manager at Investec from January 2008 to August 2013, Market Surveillance Executive at the Takeover Panel from March 2006 to January 2008, and Associate at the Financial Services Authority from January 1999 to March 2006. Ian's professional journey began at the Registry of Friendly Societies, where an Executive Officer role was undertaken from December 1996 to December 1998.
