Data Validation Associate

As a Data Validation Associate, you will perform research to help validate our unique datasets and data models. You’ll be an early member of a small but growing group of researchers within the Product team who will help support Windfall’s continued growth by implementing systems and processes as the company scales.

Responsibilities:

• Perform focused research on US households to help validate our models and dataset
• Explore and evaluate new datasets on populations, household finances, real estate, and more
• Interpret and expand upon company data quality assurance standards
• Perform analyses to ensure we continue to improve our product quality
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver new products at the highest quality

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience in a professional research role or equivalent demonstrated success
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, such as a start-up or a small non-profit
• Basic statistical analysis skills and understanding of data science concepts
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Understanding of consumer financial data and signals of wealth
• Knowledge of and interest in SaaS or data companies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or a social science (e.g. Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, History, Public Policy)
• Experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets, Jira, and Looker Studio
• Domain knowledge of marketing technology and/or nonprofit prospect research
• Previous professional experience in nonprofit prospect research or management, wealth management, or marketing analytics
