Tim Schmelzer

Vice President, California State Relations at Wine Institute

Tim Schmelzer has extensive work experience in the government and energy sectors. Tim began their career as the Legislative Director at the California Energy Commission in 1995 and held this position until 2003. From 2003 to 2008, they worked at Southern California Edison as the Manager of State Legislative Policy. In 2008, they joined the Wine Institute as the Vice President of California State Relations.

Tim Schmelzer attended Cherry Creek High School from 1981 to 1985. After completing high school, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and International Relations from Cornell College, graduating in 1989.
