Matthias Kleinsasser

Matthias Kleinsasser is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial litigation, particularly in securities litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and asset recovery. Currently serving as a Shareholder and Counsel at Winstead PC since June 2019, Matthias focuses on securities enforcement actions, fraudulent transfer litigation, and general commercial disputes. Previously, Matthias held the position of Partner at Forshey Prostok LLP, where representation of debtors, creditors, and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings and restructurings was a key responsibility. Additional experience includes a role as a Litigation Associate at Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, where involvement in federal and state court cases was prominent, and working as an Associate at Weil Gotshal and Manges, participating in significant bankruptcy court litigation, including high-profile Chapter 11 cases. Matthias's early career includes a law clerk position at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, where legal research and opinion drafting were primary duties. Matthias holds a JD from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA in History from the University of California at Irvine.
