Peter Vays

Peter Vays, CISSP, currently serves as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Vice President of Information Security at Wintrust Financial Corporation since April 2018. Prior to this role, Peter held the position of Vice President and Global Head of IT Audit at Northern Trust Corporation from March 2015 to March 2018. Peter's earlier experience includes managerial roles in internal audit at Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd., SOX compliance at Case New Holland, and audit and consulting engagements at BDO Seidman LLP and KPMG, focusing on IT audit and financial systems. Peter began the professional journey as a consultant at CGI, specializing in financial system implementations. Peter holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University at Albany.
