Joonas Viskari

Joonas Viskari has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joonas is currently working as a Senior Embedded SW Engineer at Wirepas since 2016. In this role, they focus on developing Wirepas Mesh, a wireless IoT networking protocol that enables connectivity and identification of various devices.

Before joining Wirepas, Joonas worked as a Design Engineer at Bitwise Oy from December 2015 to February 2016. Prior to that, they served as an Engineer, Senior, at Qualcomm Technologies Finland Oy from June 2014 to November 2015. Joonas also held the same position at Qualcomm from May 2011 to June 2014, where they worked on engineering projects.

Joonas gained valuable experience at Atheros Communications, where they worked as an MTS/Senior MTS from December 2007 to May 2011. Joonas was involved in the development of multiplatform satellite navigation software and software solutions for mobile location-based services. Joonas also worked as a Software Design Engineer from March 2006 to December 2007 at Atheros Communications.

Earlier in their career, Joonas worked at Tietoenator as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2002 to March 2006. In this role, they focused on cryptographic application software development for GSM/3G networks and provided consulting for IVR server software development in a Unix environment. Joonas also served as a course instructor for a c-language course and developed various tools.

Joonas began their career as a Software Developer at Siemens Osakeyhtiö from May 1999 to September 2002.

Joonas Viskari completed their general education at Kauhajoen Lukio from 1994 to 1996. Joonas then pursued a B.Sc degree in Software Engineering from Espoo - Vantaa Institute of Technology, from 1997 to 2001.
