Wish of a Lifetime
As one of AARP's charitable affiliates, Wish of Lifetime grants life-changing wishes to older adults and inspires people to redefine aging in America. Aging is universal and should be celebrated. But, negative views of aging leave older Americans isolated with fewer opportunities to connect with their communities, purpose, and passions in life. With each wish granted, older adults across the country are reconnected with the communities, passions, and people they love, helping them to live more vibrant and purposeful lives. By sharing the life stories and impacts of these experiences, Wish of a Lifetime from AARP inspires people of all ages to change how we see and value ourselves as we age. Founded in 2008 by two-time Olympic skier, World Cup gold medalist, entrepreneur, and former NFL football player Jeremy Bloom in living honor of his grandmother. Wish of a Lifetime has granted over 2,400 wishes for adults ages 65+ in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The organization relies on the generosity of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and private foundations to make these life-changing wishes come true. More about our wish stories and program efforts can be found on our website - www.wishofalifetime.org, or by connecting with us on Facebook or Twitter.
