Florent Bories

Florent Bories has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Florent currently works at Double as the Head of Engineering since November 2022. Prior to that, they held roles at Double as a Software Engineering Manager and a Lead iOS Software Engineer. Before joining Double, they worked at Instacart as a Senior iOS Software Engineer II from April 2018 to November 2019. Florent also had experience at Chorus Fitness as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of an iOS app focused on social accountability for healthier lifestyles. In addition, they worked at Twitter as a Software Engineer, where they were the Tech Lead for the "Twitter Engage" iOS application and designed an "Influencer Score" feature. Florent began their career as a Research and Innovation Intern at ideXlab, where they were involved in improving the Open Innovation process. Florent also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Twitter and developed features for the iOS app. Lastly, they interned as a Software Engineer at Beat the Traffic, where they developed location-aware features and implemented traffic prediction algorithms for the iOS app. Florent Bories briefly worked as a Maintenance operator - Wheel and Tire at Air France Industries.

Florent Bories pursued their education at Mines Paris from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Master's degree in Science and Executive Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Lycée Sainte Geneviève from 2008 to 2010, undertaking a preparatory course for a competitive exam for admission into French "Grandes Ecoles." This course focused on Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
