Alex Duda

Alex Duda has a diverse work experience in the technology field. They have recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Vector starting from March 2023. Prior to that, Alex worked at Facebook as a Software Engineer from January 2015 to January 2018. During their time at Facebook, they built features for the Android client and Messenger server and collaborated with various teams on projects like Message Reactions. They also developed client-only deltas and a thread-safe cache structure.

Before Facebook, Alex worked as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University in 2014, assisting with a computer science class. They also had previous experiences at Facebook as a Contractor and Software Engineering Intern in 2013. Additionally, Alex served as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University in 2012, designing curriculum and teaching a recitation for a software construction course. They also worked as a Programming Intern at Pensieve LLC in the same year, handling front-end and back-end development tasks.

Alex's earliest work experience was as a Technology Intern at Innovest Systems from 2008 to 2009. Here, they maintained servers and contributed to the development and debugging of company software.

Alex Duda attended Stuyvesant High School from 2006 to 2010. Following that, from 2010 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
