Evan Maehl is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in finance and management, currently serving as the Managing Director at WM New Zealand since November 2012, where the focus is on safety, sustainability, and innovation in waste management. Evan has also held significant roles as Chief Financial Officer for Villa Maria Estate and Pernod Ricard Winemakers. Early career positions include Finance Manager roles at various wine companies and a Finance & Administration Manager role in Singapore. Evan is also a Steering Group Member for the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum, dedicated to enhancing workplace health and safety in New Zealand. Educational qualifications include a BCom in Accounting and Finance, a PGDipCom in Marketing and Operations Management, and a PGDipFinTreasMgmt in Treasury Management, all from recognized institutions.
