Christian Seidel

Christian Seidel is a full professor at Munich University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Additive Manufacturing and Manufacturing Technologies, and serves as Deputy Head of the Bavarian PhD Center for Materials and Production Technology and Head of the Smart Manufacturing Lab. Christian is also a Strategic Implementation Consultant at Wohlers Associates, focusing on additive manufacturing strategies, and an Independent Management Consultant at GoAdditive, where expertise includes technology implementation and strategic advice. As a shareholder at ASM, Christian supports the development of the VX1 vapour smoothing solution, and previously led the Additive Manufacturing division at Fraunhofer IGCV, overseeing a team of scientists dedicated to direct metal additive manufacturing. Christian's academic background includes a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, with additional degrees from Stellenbosch University and the University of Stuttgart.
