Currently serving on the Board of Advisors at wolfSSL since August 2010, Brian has held prestigious positions such as Fellow at HP Public Cloud, where responsibilities included leading PaaS Engineering and building a robust cloud platform. Brian's previous roles also include CTO and Founder of Data Differential, Director of Architecture at MySQL AB, and Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, highlighting a strong background in MySQL integration and open source advocacy. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Geoscience from the University of Iowa, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Antioch College and the University of Kentucky.

The wolfSSL embedded TLS library is a lightweight, portable, C-language-based SSL/TLS library targeted at IoT, embedded, and RTOS environments primarily because of its size, speed, and feature set.
