Yazan Arouri

Yazan Arouri, Ph.D., is an Optimization Engineer at Woodside Energy since February 2022, specializing in high dimensional, nonlinear, and uncertain optimization problems. Prior to this role, Yazan served as a PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide, where algorithms for complex optimization tasks were developed and implemented. Yazan's expertise includes a Fulbright Scholar experience at The University of Texas at Austin and multiple internships with Woodside Energy and Saudi Aramco in reservoir management and petroleum engineering. Yazan holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Adelaide. Contributions to professional organizations included serving as Treasurer and Third Year Representative for the Society of Petroleum Engineers at the University of Adelaide.
