Abraham Louw is an accomplished risk management executive with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Chief Risk Officer at Woolworths Financial Services and Woolworths since December 2016 and August 2009, respectively, Abraham oversees strategic initiatives in Credit Risk, Impairment, Collections, Recoveries, Fraud, and Risk Operations, while also advancing the enterprise Data & Analytics function. Previous roles include leading portfolio performance and credit risk strategy initiatives, and developing retail credit risk strategies at Woolworths, alongside a strategic analytical position at Absa focused on customer insights and campaign growth. Abraham holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town and BSc (Honours) and Bachelor’s degrees in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Pretoria.
