Maggie Vlietstra is an experienced education program manager and translator with a strong background in literary translation and French language instruction. Currently serving as Education Program Manager at Words Without Borders and having held roles as Education Program Coordinator and Editorial Assistant within the same organization, Maggie has also gained extensive freelance translation experience working with notable clients such as BU Law School Human Rights Clinic and Musée d’Orsay. Previous positions include Editorial Intern at Words Without Borders and English Language Assistant at CIEP in France, where engaging lesson plans were developed for high school students. Maggie holds a Master of Fine Arts in Literary Translation from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in French Translation and Literature from Barnard College.
