Eric Murphy serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Workrise (RigUp) since June 2021, overseeing security initiatives. As a Board Advisor for Manifest since September 2016, Eric contributes to the growth of the Austin cybersecurity industry by mentoring entrepreneurs. Previously, from 2018 to 2020, Eric held the position of VP of Security Research at SpyCloud, focusing on security strategy and research while building scalable intelligence teams. Additionally, Eric served as Director of Security at both Squarespace (2017-2019) and WP Engine (2015-2017), where responsibilities included creating security teams and enhancing security protocols. Eric's earlier experience includes roles as Director of Cloud Services at iland Internet Solutions Corp (2013-2015) and Chief Technology Officer at Total Technologies LLC (2006-2013).

Workrise, founded in 2014 as RigUp, launched as a workforce and energy services marketplace, first in Oil & Gas and then in renewables. It has since expanded to serve the biggest companies in energy across both workforce and vendor management. Workrise absorbs much of the supply chain complexity that the industry has historically faced so that energy companies can move faster, operate more efficiently, and build a better global energy future.
