Fátima Arroyo Arroyo is a seasoned professional in urban transport and infrastructure, currently serving as the Infrastructure Program Leader at The World Bank since March 2015, with progressive roles including Senior Urban Transport Specialist, Urban Transport Specialist, and Transport Analyst. Fátima has also held the position of Acting Urban Mobility Pillar Lead at the Africa Transport Policy Program from January 2020 to December 2022, and worked as an International Trade Advisor for the Multilateral Department at the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C. in 2014. Previous experience includes roles as Project Engineer at fhecor ingenieros consultores, Transport Engineer at Prefeitura de Sao Goncalo do Amarante, and Material Engineer at Universidad Politécnica de São Paulo. Fátima holds a Master’s degree in International Trade, Finance and Economics from Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, and two Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and École nationale des ponts et chaussées.
