Sangbu Kim currently serves as the Vice President of Digital Transformation at The World Bank, starting in September 2024. Previously, from June 2019 to February 2024, Sangbu Kim held the position of Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Consumer Products in the Asia Pacific region at Google, where responsibilities included public policy analysis and engagement on regulatory issues and political campaign initiatives. Prior to Google, Sangbu Kim was the Vice President of Corporate Development and Business Development at LG Uplus from March 2013 to May 2019, achieving significant market advancements, including the strategic acquisition of CJ Hello and the introduction of Netflix on IPTV in Korea. Sangbu Kim's extensive public sector experience includes senior roles in the Government of South Korea, focusing on telecommunication and broadcasting markets, as well as serving in the Ministry of National Defense. Education credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Seoul National University.
