Gianluca Gygax is a professional with extensive experience in environmental initiatives and project management. Currently serving as the UpLink Project Lead for Nature & Climate at the World Economic Forum, Gianluca has previously held roles focusing on community engagement and partner relations in the Tropical Forest Alliance. A former intern at UN Environment, Gianluca contributed to the development of the MapX platform and conducted research on Afghanistan's drought situation. Prior experience includes a traineeship at the Swiss Embassy, where projects in energy and environment were supported, and a teaching assistantship in statistics at the University of Zurich. Gianluca holds a Master in International Affairs with a specialization in Environmental Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Zurich.
