Emilie Chazelle

Emilie Chazelle is an experienced leader in humanitarian-development-peace (HDP) nexus approaches, currently serving as the Head of Secretariat for the Fighting Food Crises at the World Food Programme since March 2023. With prior experience as a Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus Adviser at FAO, Chazelle has contributed to strengthening emergency programs and policy integration for food crisis solutions. Roles at FAO include Policy Advisor and Policy Support Specialist, where strategic guidance and resource mobilization were key focuses. Chazelle's earlier positions include senior roles at UNHCR and UNRWA, as well as program coordination with international medical organizations. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, an MA in Middle East Politics from the University of Exeter, and a Diplome IEP in Politics and International Relations from IEP Lyon.
