Isabela MacHado

Isabela Machado is an accomplished Programme Policy Officer with extensive experience at the World Food Programme, currently serving as the School-Based Programme Coordinator since August 2023, and previously holding roles focused on social protection and school feeding. Isabela has also contributed to UNDP as an International Consultant in social protection and inclusive rural transformation, and as a Research Assistant on social protection programs. Additional experience includes positions with FAO, International Fund for Agricultural Development, UNIDO, and UNHCR Brazil, with a strong emphasis on school feeding, local procurement, and climate change resilience. Isabela holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management from The University of Manchester and a B.A. in International Relations from Universidade de Brasília.
