Ricardo Marques

Ricardo Marques is an accomplished technology professional currently serving as an Innovation Ventures Consultant (Digital Solutions) at the World Food Programme since January 2025. Previously, Ricardo held the position of Machine Learning Team Lead at Loka, where leadership in projects included crop yield prediction using satellite imagery and video processing for traffic analytics. Prior experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Engineer and Intern at the United Nations, focusing on GIS systems and deep learning models. Ricardo's early career featured significant contributions in engineering and teamwork at TLMoto, alongside academic achievements with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and international studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Aarhus University.
