Lisa Carter

Lisa Carter is a highly experienced professional in the field of public health and laboratory diagnostics, currently serving as a Technical Officer at the World Health Organization since June 2015. In this role, Lisa has held multiple positions, including Technical Officer for COVID-19 and Emergency Preparedness & Response, as well as leading the Ebola Diagnostic Laboratory Team. Prior to joining the World Health Organization, Lisa worked as a Technical Consultant at FIND and as an Ebola Diagnostic Laboratory Technician at Public Health England. Earlier experience includes a research assistant role at UCL and an internship at the Children's Investment Fund Foundation. Lisa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Immunology from UCL, a Master of Public Health in International Public Health/International Health from The University of Manchester, and a Master of Science in Natural Sciences from UCL.
