Director Of Infrastructure at World Meteorological Organization

Nir Stav currently serves as the Director of Infrastructure at the World Meteorological Organization, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Nir held multiple leadership positions at the Israel Meteorological Service from July 2006, including Executive Director and Deputy Director, where responsibilities included heading Operational Meteorology. Nir's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Physics Teacher and E-Teaching Specialist at Hemda from May 1997 to June 2006, as well as Head of the Forecasting Center for the Israeli Air Force from October 1987 to January 1993. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University (2014-2015), a Master of Science in Physics, and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and Planetary Science, both from Tel Aviv University.
