Rania Abou Chakra serves as the Chief Information Officer at the World Meteorological Organization and is a Board Member at both UNICC and the Terre des hommes foundation. With extensive experience in information technology and governance, Rania led IT strategy and security as the Head of IT Strategy, Governance, and Chief Information Security Officer at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Previous roles include Program Manager positions at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and SGS, where Rania implemented significant projects in enterprise content management and SharePoint deployment. Rania holds an MBA in Relationship Management from the University of Liverpool and a BE in Computer and Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
