Natalia Akopian

Policy & Government Affairs Analyst at World Resources Institute

Natalia is a Policy & Government Affairs Analyst on the Electric School Bus Initiative. She is working to support the federal and state policy team to engage policymakers to usher in the policy solutions and funding needed to reduce barriers to equitable school bus electrification.

Prior to joining WRI, Natalia served as a Water Policy Fellow at the Environmental Protection Agency, researching effective water policy changes. At EPA, she also assisted in developing the Office of Water Climate Implementation Plan which presented transformative ideas on how to tackle the climate crisis in the water sector.

Natalia grew up in New Jersey and moved down to the DMV to attend the University of Maryland, College Park. Currently, Natalia is in her second year of law school at the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law.
