Trade Policy Analyst, E-commerce Team, Council And Trade Negotiations Committee Division at World Trade Organization

Stefania Gallo has a diverse work experience in the field of trade policy and economic affairs. Stefania began their career in 2008 as an intern at Promos - Special Agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce for international activities, where they conducted research and analysis on macroeconomic data and assisted in the drafting of strategic programs.

In 2008, they also interned at the International Trade Centre - WTO/UNCTAD, where they focused on the development of the European Union-funded All Africa Caribbean Pacific Agricultural Commodities Programme, conducting value chain assessments and analyzing countries' macroeconomic and trade-related data.

From 2009 to 2010, Stefania worked as a consultant at the World Trade Organization, assisting in the development and maintenance of relations with United Nations agencies, civil society organizations, and Parliamentarians from member states. Stefania'sresponsibilities included drafting communication materials and organizing events such as the WTO Public Forum.

Stefania then transitioned to the role of Junior Economic Affairs Officer at the World Trade Organization's Development Division from 2010 to 2011. In this position, Stefania conducted research and analysis on trade-related aspects of development, with a focus on the Aid-for-Trade Initiative. Stefania contributed to the preparation of official documents and publications, including the OECD/WTO Aid for Trade at a Glance 2011 and the Compendium of Case Stories.

Lastly, they served as a Trade Policy Analyst at the World Trade Organization's Council and TNC Division from 2011 onwards. In this role, Stefania played a crucial role in supporting the General Council and the Trade Negotiations Committee by preparing official documents, drafting speaking points for the Chair, and providing briefing notes and reports. Stefania also assisted in drafting speeches for the Director-General and senior management, as well as providing country-specific analysis and briefing notes upon specific requests.

Stefania Gallo's education history includes a Master's degree in International Relations Management from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, which was completed in 2008. In 2007, they obtained a Master's degree in Foreign Languages for Business from Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Conference Interpreting at Università degli Studi di Trieste.
