Shelby Sutcliffe Benson is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience in managing and providing technical support for international health projects, currently serving as Vice President of Program Quality & Impact at World Vision since October 2008. In previous roles including Deputy Director, Shelby has led teams overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects addressing HIV/AIDS and community health across multiple regions, including Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. As a former Program Management Officer, Shelby designed and managed nearly $400 million worth of OVC and HIV grants, significantly impacting nearly 1 million orphans and vulnerable children. Early in the career, experience included a role as a Qualitative Researcher at the Harvard Research Program on Children and Global Adversity. Shelby holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Texas Christian University.
