Cecilia Alcoreza

Cecilia Alcoreza is a seasoned expert in forest management and sustainability, currently serving as the Manager of Corporate Engagement, Forest at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) since July 2018. With a robust background in global forest products, Cecilia focuses on addressing the impacts of pulp and paper industries on deforestation and forest degradation. Prior to this role, Cecilia led the Sustainable Paper and Packaging team at WWF Global Forest Practice and was the Forest Programme Officer at WWF Chile, where efforts concentrated on influencing sustainable practices within the pulp and paper sector. Earlier career experience includes roles as the International Standards Coordinator at Amec International Chile and as a Project Engineer at SSC Americas S.A., where Cecilia managed forest certification projects. Cecilia holds degrees in Forest Engineering and Agro Resources from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and completed advanced studies at Yale School of the Environment.
