Mohammad Hossain

Mohammad Hossain is a Senior Scientist specializing in socio-economics at WorldFish, where responsibilities include developing a research agenda on topics such as social network analysis, women's empowerment, and behavioral economics of aquaculture farmers in Bangladesh. Prior to this position, Mohammad served as a PhD candidate at Zentrum für Entwicklungsforschung and as Deputy Programme Manager for Research and Policy at Transparency International Bangladesh, focusing on governance and corruption research. Earlier experience includes a role as Research Associate at AED, where Mohammad developed data collection tools and supervised field research teams. Educational credentials include a PhD in Anthropology from The University of Bonn, a Master’s in Corruption and Governance Studies from the University of Sussex, and two Master’s degrees in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University.
