Project Odyssey Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project

Cassandra Mette has a varied work experience spanning multiple industries. Cassandra started their career as a Front Desk Associate at Comfort Inn Oceanfront in 2008 and then moved to Sawgrass Marriott as a Front Desk Associate in 2010. In 2012, they joined Sodexo at Venable LLP as a Conference and Catering Coordinator, where they played a pivotal role in organizing various events and managing client relations. In 2014, Cassandra worked as an Executive Assistant at the American Society for Microbiology. Cassandra then transitioned to the Wounded Warrior Project in 2015, initially serving as an Administrative Assistant before taking on the roles of WWP Talk Specialist and Project Odyssey Specialist. In these positions, they provided emotional support, coordinated referrals, managed caseloads, and facilitated resiliency programs for wounded service members and their families. Cassandra's most recent role is as a Project Odyssey Specialist, where they continue to support warriors and their families through a comprehensive 12-week program.

Cassandra Mette completed their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Florida State College at Jacksonville from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their college education, they have obtained several certifications. In 2018, they became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through PESI. In the same year, they also obtained a certification in ACT Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Professional. In 2017, Cassandra completed the Suicide Asist certification from LivingWorks. Furthermore, in 2019, they obtained the Mental Health First Aid USA certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health. Most recently, in 2020, Cassandra acquired the Grief Treatment Certification from PESI. In 2021, they completed the Expressive Arts Therapy: Creative Solutions for Trauma Recovery certification, also from PESI. Lastly, in 2022, Cassandra obtained the certification in Emotional Eating, Chronic Dieting, Bingeing and Body Image: What Every Clinician Needs to Know, again from PESI.
