Job description

Wowza is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our sales team. As a Sales Manager focused on Cloud Marketplace Growth, you will lead and expand our presence across third-party cloud marketplaces, including AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, improving marketplace strategies, and enhancing customer acquisition through these high-potential sales channels. You will work closely with our marketing and customer success teams to identify and qualify leads, develop relationships with key decision makers, and create and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. 

The ideal candidate will be in the United States within MST or PST time zones.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement a scalable strategy to grow sales via third-party cloud marketplaces, focusing on revenue generation and customer acquisition.
  • Identify and prioritize new marketplace opportunities and partner programs to expand reach and drive incremental growth.
  • Establish relationships with marketplace account teams to collaborate on joint sales efforts and co-marketing initiatives.

Customer Engagement and Pipeline Management: 

  • Lead the end-to-end sales process for opportunities originating from cloud marketplaces.
  • Work with customers and marketplace partners to streamline procurement and contracting processes, ensuring a seamless buying experience.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, delivering accurate forecasts and meeting or exceeding quarterly sales targets.

Performance Optimization and Enablement: 

  • Monitor marketplace performance metrics to identify trends, measure success, and implement optimizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to improve listing visibility, refine messaging, and execute campaigns that drive demand.
  • Enable the broader sales team to leverage cloud marketplace opportunities by providing training, best practices, and deal support.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth marketplace transactions and reporting.
  • Partner with product teams to align marketplace offerings and enhancements that meet customer needs.

What You Bring 

  • 5+ years in sales, business development, or cloud marketplace management within SaaS, cloud, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of cloud marketplaces (AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated partner programs, pricing models, and procurement workflows.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, with the ability to drive deals from inception to close.
  • Ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders, delivering value-driven solutions.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze marketplace performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, finance, and operations.

Preferred Qualifications 

Familiarity with SaaS billing models and recurring revenue streams. 

Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or relevant sales programs. 

Experience in co-selling or leveraging cloud marketplace partner resources for joint go-to-market initiatives.
