Fiona Daghir is an experienced broadcast journalist currently serving as an On Air Host for "Sunshine Spotlight" segments at WPTV since February 2023. Prior to this role, Fiona worked at KBAK/KBFX Eyewitness News from January 2020 to February 2023, where responsibilities included serving as a Morning News Anchor and Morning Live Desk Reporter, as well as producing breaking news segments. Earlier experiences include internships at NBC New York and NBCUniversal Media, LLC, focusing on broadcast operations and production. Additionally, Fiona gained practical experience as a Reporting Intern at WPLG and was an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists during studies at Penn State University, where a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism was earned.
