Lorena Hernandez

Lorena Hernandez currently serves as Assistant Director in both the Office of the Vice Provost and the Office of Academic Policy and Governance at New York University Abu Dhabi since September 2013. In these roles, Hernandez is deeply involved in shared governance through various representative bodies and procedures that enhance faculty engagement in policy and curriculum discussions. Additionally, Hernandez has taken on multiple positions as an angel investor with companies such as Lila Taqueria, Powderbeauty.com, HAYVN, and Pure Harvest Smart Farms since 2017. Previous experience includes roles at Charismagroup.tv as Business Assistant to the CEO and at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation as EA to the Director of External Affairs & Communications, among others. Hernandez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy & Sustainability Policy from Penn State World Campus and completed a course on entrepreneurial operations at Columbia Business School in 2020.
