Teaching Artist at Writers in the Schools

Corinne Manning is an experienced teaching artist and instructor with a strong background in creative writing and arts administration. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist at Writers in the Schools since September 2012 and as the Founder and Instructor of The Living Room Workshops since October 2012, Manning fosters a unique writing environment for students. Previous roles include Managing Editor at Dark Coast Press, Writer-in-Residence at Hub City Writers Project, where Manning initiated special projects, and Teaching Assistant at the Publishing Laboratory. As co-founder and curator of the Other Means Reading Series, Manning supported community-based nonprofits through literary events. Early career experiences also include a Development Associate position at Groundwork and an Arts Administration internship at Poets House. Manning holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
