WSLS 10
Eric Johnson serves as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter at WSLS 10 since June 2011, with previous roles including Sports Reporter, Photojournalist/Editor, and Operations Engineer. Prior experience includes freelance videography for "EDJ" Amateur Videography from October 2008 to March 2015, where Eric recorded and edited varsity basketball games. Additionally, from March 2011 to May 2013, Eric operated the scoreboard and announced for baseball games at William Fleming High School. Eric is a graduate of Roanoke College, with studies completed between 2011 and 2015.
WSLS 10
WSLS was the first television station to serve central and Southwest Virginia, officially signing on the air December 11, 1952. WSLS 10 was licensed by Shenandoah Life Insurance Company as one of Southwest Virginia’s pioneer stations.WSLS 10’s studios were built in the early 1950s. The transmitter site is 13.5 air miles Southwest of Roanoke ontop of Poor Mountain, which has an elevation of 4,041 feet in Roanoke County.WSLS 10 offers viewers premium quality news, weather sports and entertainment on every screen. WSLS 10 is owned by Media General, one of the nation’s largest cross-screen, multimedia companies that operates or services 71 television stations in 48 markets along with the industry’s leading digital media business.
